It's great to be back in Sicily after spending time with my family and friends in Perth, Western Australia.
I've returned to an exciting time in the village of Sant'Ambrogio. Our chef and wine maker Mimmo with his two unemployed sons are opening a restaurant in the village. They're renovating a storeroom, building a spacious kitchen, with a characteristic style restaurant sitting up to 30 people. In the summer months there will also be an "al fresco" area on the lookout belvedere of the village, where one can enjoy the sensational sea views and sunsets.
It's fantastic that the local people are taking initiative in creating something new with an aim to earning an income for themselves.
I am looking forward to sharing the experiences that are available in the village with so many more people.
Here are some trips and courses I'm running this year which you may be interested in:
• Local Traditions
• Day walk to the shepherd, lunch and wine tasting
• Half and full day cooking courses, wine tasting
• Discovery tour
• Culture tour
• Horseriding day excursions
And look out for our Painting and Photography course!
On behalf of the people in the village we look forward to your visit.
